Simple Rules

Simple Rules

You will find many people sharing their complicated beliefs and analogies on social media bragging about their success in their relationships, investments, and everything under the sun. I believe keeping your rules simple will get you the desired results.

Honestly, life is not complicated, people are. We can simplify ourselves by following the rules that we can create and change with time. Anything you wish to master, from mindfulness, styling to playing piano, just keep it simple.

Here’s how to do it.

Stage A

Ask yourself:

  • What am I trying to achieve?

(Revenue, growth etc.)

  • What is the bottleneck process?

(What is it that is stopping you from achieving it).

  • Create rules using past results and a third person perspective.

(Knowing what worked in the past and a fresher perspective can help you come up with a new set of guidelines).

Stage B

Keeping this in mind, create a new set of rules but remember:

  • To keep maximum of 3 rules.

(Because it would be easier to remember and follow).

  • Have an exit strategy

(Know when your rules didn’t work and be open to accepting that it may not be as productive with time).

  • Be flexible to change when needed.

(Go through stage A and recreate new ones).

Easy as a pie, isn’t it?
